BOARD CHAIRPERSON   

Dr. D. D. Madzikanda

Dr. David D. Madzikanda is a strategic leader and an academic focusing on strategic management, change management and leadership.

He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering; an MBA with a distinction and a PhD in Strategic Management from the University of Wales (Cardiff, UK).

He has 17 years of professional and regional work experience in the Electricity Sector, particularly in the area of System Development Planning and 20 years’ experience in the academia.

He is the current Dean of the Faculty of Business Management Sciences and Economics at the University of Zimbabwe.

His current research interests are in the areas of: Cultural Influences in Strategic Formulation and Implementation, Strategic Performance Management, Corporate Governance and Leadership

VICE CHAIRPERSON

Eng. F. Mavhiya-Bhiza

Eng. Farai Mavhiya-Bhiza is a qualified Chartered Engineer with a Bachelor of Technology (Honours) Degree in Electrical Engineering attained in 1994 at the University of Zimbabwe.

She is also a holder of an ACCA Certified Diploma in Accounting & Finance and is a certified Quality Assurance Lead Auditor (ISO 9001:2015). She is a registered Professional Engineer with the Engineering Council of Zimbabwe (ECZ) and is the outgoing Chairperson of the Council.

Eng. Mavhiya- Bhiza is also a Fellow of the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineers (ZIE) and is the current Chairperson of Women in Engineering, a division of ZIE established to improve the visibility of Women in Engineering, Innovation, Science and Technology.
She also served on the ZESA Holdings and the Harare Institute of Technology (HIT) Boards. She currently sits on the Higher Education Examinations Council (HEXCO) Board.

Eng. Mavhiya-Bhiza is a Director at Chisipo Consultants, a well-established company specializing in construction engineering services. She has worked on projects in different countries including Swaziland, Botswana, Mauritius, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

Mr. M. Kambarami

Mr. Masimba Kambarami has over 20 years’ experience in the energy sector. He has worked in various positions in USA, South Africa and eventually became Financial Director and then CEO of Chevron (Caltex) Zimbabwe.

He has contributed substantially to the sector in Zimbabwe through posts of Chairman of the Petroleum Marketers Association of Zimbabwe (PMAZ) and as the co-Chairperson for the National Economic Consultative Forum (NECF) Energy Sector.

He is an accountant by profession. He is also an advent teacher having taught financial planning & investment analysis to MBA students at Africa University, Mutare.

Mr. Kambarami graduated with a BSc Degree and an MBA in Finance and Accounting from Marist College (New York, USA).

He is married to Joy with five children. He is a horticultural farmer, an avid golfer and trustee of the Falcon Golf Club.

Mrs. T. Madzivire

Mrs. Tambudzai Madzivire is a holder of a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Insurance and Risk Management from the National University of Science and Technology; a Diploma in Insurance from ACII (UK) and an MBA from Eastern and Southern Africa Management Institute.

She has local and regional wealth of experience having worked in various sectors of the economy such as risk, insurance and development for over 20 years, 11 of which were at executive level.

Mrs. Madzivire is the Founder and CEO of Dynamic Risk Solutions.

She currently sits on the Boards of Renisdale Development Company, Dynamic Risk Solutions as well as Hospitals and Prisons Care Ministries International

BOARD MEMBER

Dr. T. K. Ncube

Thembelani is aged 52 years and a financial and corporate governance specialist with extensive executive management experience in the mining, energy and manufacturing industries spanning over a period in excess of twenty five years. He holds a Bachelor of Business Studies Honours degree [Accounting and Finance] from the University of Zimbabwe and a Masters in Business Administration from the National University of Science and Technology. He also attained a Doctorate in Business Administration with Chinhoyi University of Technology/Binary University of Management and Entrepreneurship of Malaysia.  He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Governance and Accounting Institute in Zimbabwe and a member of the Company Secretaries Interest Group (SA).

Dr. Ncube is currently a Director of Telbot Enterprises (Private) Limited, a company with interests in mining, energy, real estate and farming. He is also Managing Consultant of MT Business Consulting Group.  He previously held senior executive positions in finance and corporate services in the mining, manufacturing and financial services industries. He is a current and previous Non-Executive Director of public and private companies in Zimbabwe and South Africa. Dr Ncube participated in the drafting of the National Code on Corporate Governance as a member of the Thematic Committee on state enterprises and parastatals under the Zimbabwe Leadership Forum.

Dr. Ncube is currently a Board Member of Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority where he chairs the Finance Committee and is a member of the Electricity and Risk Management Committees.

Dr. S. Ziuku

Dr Sosten Ziuku is an expert in Renewable Energy, Energy Efficient and Decentralized Energy Systems.

He holds a PhD (thesis title: Performance of an energy efficient solar house)) from Fort Hare University (South Africa); an MSc in Renewable Energy from the University of Zimbabwe and a Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Physics) Honours Degree from NUST.

He is currently the Director- Energy Conservation and Renewable Energy Department with the Ministry of Energy and Power Development.

Dr. Ziuku is an academic who has lectured at various tertiary institutions; has eight publications to his name, served as a consultant and has made notable presentations at international fora.He has managed several national projects such as the development of National Renewable Energy Policy (2019), Biofuels Policy (2019), National Energy Efficient Audit (2015), Mid-term Evaluation of Sustainable Energy Project (2014) and Fuel Economy Tests for Petrol (2012).

He is a member of the Professional Associations and Publications, South African Institute of Physics as well as the Council for Measurement and Verification Professionals.

Mrs. Gertrude Chikwava

Mrs.  Gertrude Chikwava is a seasoned leader with experience of over 15 years who currently oversees the operations of several companies and farms as the Group Executive Chair for the M & S Syndicate (Pvt) Ltd.

She has certifications in LCCI Auditing, Financial Analysis and Forecasting (Euromoney); an Executive Diploma in Development (UZ); a qualification from the Full Institute of Bankers (IOBZ) and graduated with a MSC in Strategic Management from the University of Derby UK. She is a member of the AIOBZ and AZIM.

Mrs. Chikwava also serves as a Non-Executive Director for FBC Holdings, Holafield Investments (Pvt) Ltd and Sugarfield Investments (Pvt) Ltd and has been in the past a director at ZPC, Alliance Africa Holdings (Pvt) Ltd, Canadile Resources and Waterwax Enterprises.

Her skillset is quite diverse as she has roots in Health, having trained and worked as a registered nurse and midwife with 10 years of experience, 3 of them as a District Nursing Officer in Masvingo.

Ms. Sheila Rufu

Ms. Rufu is a Legal expert and registered practitioner with the High Court of Zimbabwe. She holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Bachelor of Social Sciences (BSocSci) degree from Rhodes University, South Africa.

She is currently the Group Legal Officer for Chemplex Corporation Limited with the roles of Company Secretary and Legal Officer since 2018.

Ms. Rufu has 11 years of experience in Academics, having been a Legal advisor and Head of Department- Public Law at the Zimbabwe Institute of Legal Studies and a lecturer and Chief Examiner at the Higher Education Examinations Council.

Ms. Rufu has also done consultancy work at Bluestops Consulting for 4 years; was a Candidate Attorney at Rushmere Noach Inc. for 2 years and volunteered as Secretary at the Emmanuel Children’s Home.

She is currently working towards a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with UNISA.

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

E. T.Mazambani

Edington Mazambani holds a B.Acc (Hon) from the University of Zimbabwe; a B. Compt (Hons) from UNISA  is a Chartered Accountant who did his articles with Deloitte and Touche.

He has a wealth of experience which spans over 25 years in financial services sector; accounting and auditing firms. He worked for various companies at senior level in Zimbabwe and the Democratic Republic of Congo in the manufacturing; construction; telecommunications; mining; engineering and energy sectors.

Edington was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (ZERA) in September 2020.

Prior to his appointment, he had served ZERA as the Finance and Administration Director.
